When will the stadium open?

Q:

The new stadium will open in 2010.

A:

How wide are the concourses? How do they compare to the old stadium?

Q:

The concourses at New Meadowlands Stadium will almost double from the old stadium to 40 feet. This increased space will allow for easier ingress and egress before and after the game, less crowding during those busy halftime rushes for snacks, and more space to get away from the cold on those snowy January playoff games.

A:

What will happen to the old stadium once the new one is completed?

Q:

The old stadium is scheduled to be demolished immediately following the last NFL game for the 2009/10 season. 100,000 tons of concrete, 20,000 tons of steel, and other demolition materials will be recycled from the old stadium by filling the 210,000 cubic yard hole associated with the dismantling of the old stadium. Thus, the hole will be 100% filled by on-site demolition materials

A:

What will be done to reduce trash waste at the game? Green efforts?

Q:

The New Meadowlands Stadium Company is committed to identifying and implementing sustainable development design features and operations plans for the Stadium. In order to achieve this goal, NMS has formed a working relationship with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Highlights of the waste reduction measures taken by the stadium include the installation of recycling bins, concessions materials being made from recycled materials, green cleaning products, and recycling the concessionaire's waste streams.
